If you equate revolutionary violence that targets a system controlling the police and army that inflict brute force on dispossessed people along with lawless xenophobic groups like the Sangh Parivar that target minorities -- like hijab-clad school students or college students -- I can only laugh.

I don't romanticize any violence. When it comes from people's movements, they also pay a high price for it. But I understand why it happens, and why state apparatus are the targets.
